Neville Grusd

Chairman of the board

Neville Grusd is the Chairman of the Board at Merchant Financial Group. 

He has worked in the finance and banking industries since 1982, with experience ranging from asset-based lending to factoring and international trade finance. He received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Town.

Neville was the Chief Lending Officer of an FDIC member bank and a member of the Executive Committee of the Commercial Finance Association (CFA). He served on the Private Company Council of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). He is active in the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA)—as Vice President, Treasurer, and Director of the Executive Committee. He is the former Chairperson of its Committee on Cooperation with Accountants. 

Neville writes articles for The Secured Lender, was an Associate Professor of Accounting at LIU Post (CW Post–Long Island University), and is co-author of the textbook Advanced Accounting. He is a CPA, chairs panels at CFA seminars, and is a Chartered Accountant.
