Michael Behuniak began his career at First American Bankshares in Washington DC, spending six years at the company and rising to the title of Assistant Vice President. Michael then worked at Commercial Bank of New York for over six years as a First Vice President and Team Leader.  He then spent three years at GE Capital as a Vice President and Deputy Portfolio Manager.  Following that, Michael worked at HSBC for nine years, ascending to First Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager before joining Merchant Financial Group.

Michael is a member of several New York credit organizations, including SF Net, TMA, and the Contemporary Credit Club. He attended the Maxwell School of Syracuse University, where he graduated with his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. Michael lives in Manhattan and is a member of the New York Road Runners (NYRRC)—he has run fourteen marathons, including New York, Chicago, Twin Cities, Boston, Philadelphia, and Hood to Coast.
